Most of what a shop does on a hoist, we can do on a driveway — with two exceptions we will always tell you about before we take the job. Anything that needs a lift, a wheel alignment rack or a transmission out of the car goes to a partner shop in Brampton, and we will say so on the phone rather than after we arrive.

Brakes and suspension

Pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines and fluid flushes. We also handle the noises people describe as "something clunking over bumps" — sway bar links, control arms, ball joints, struts and wheel bearings. If a caliper is seized we free it or replace it on site; if a line is rusted through we replace the section rather than patch it.

Batteries, starting and charging

Dead battery tests, boosts, terminal and cable replacement, alternator and starter diagnosis. This is the single most common call we get between November and March. We test the charging system before we sell you a battery, because a failing alternator will kill a brand new one inside a week.

Engine diagnostics and check-engine lights

Full OBD-II scan with live data, not just a code read. A P0301 misfire code can be a plug, a coil, an injector or a vacuum leak, and the code alone will not tell you which. We road-test, read the freeze-frame data and tell you what the car is actually doing before quoting anything.

Belts, hoses, cooling and leaks

Serpentine belts, tensioners, water pumps, thermostats, radiators, coolant hoses and overflow tanks. Overheating on the 410 in July is a real call. We also chase oil and coolant leaks — valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets, rear main seals where accessible — and we will tell you honestly when a leak is slow enough to monitor rather than pay to fix.

Oil changes, filters and tune-ups

Conventional, synthetic blend and full synthetic oil changes at your home or office, with the filter, the drain plug washer and a look underneath while we are there. Spark plugs, air filters, cabin filters and throttle body cleaning on the same visit if you want them.

Roadside and emergency calls

No-starts, flat batteries, overheating, brake failure, a wheel that is making a noise you do not like. We are set up for the shoulder of the road as well as the driveway. If the car genuinely cannot be made safe to drive, we will say so and help you arrange a tow rather than take your money for a repair that will not hold.

Pre-purchase inspections

Buying a used car in Brampton and want a second opinion before you hand over cash? We will meet you at the seller's address, put it on ramps, scan it, check the frame and the fluids, and give you a straight verdict — including "walk away" when that is the answer.

What we do not do

No wheel alignments, no tire mounting and balancing, no bodywork, no air conditioning recharges that need a recovery machine, and no transmission rebuilds. We will point you to someone reputable for each of those rather than pretend otherwise.

There is no booking system and no form to fill in. You call, a person answers, and we work out whether we can fix it where it sits.

One — you call and describe it

Tell us the year, make and model, roughly where the car is, and what it is doing. A noise, a light, a smell, a puddle, a crank-and-no-start. The more specific you are, the better we can guess what to load in the van before we leave.

Two — we quote a call-out and a likely range

You get a call-out fee and an honest range for the repair before we drive anywhere. If the job turns out to be something else once we are under the car, we stop and call you with the new number before touching anything.

Three — we come to you

Home, workplace, condo garage, plaza lot or roadside. Most of Brampton we reach inside 60 to 90 minutes. In a snowstorm or during a rush-hour pile-up on the 410, longer — and we will tell you that on the phone rather than leave you guessing.

Four — parts and payment

We carry common parts and can usually source the rest from Brampton suppliers the same day. You get an itemised invoice by email or text. Card, e-transfer and cash are all fine. Old parts are left with you unless you tell us to take them.

If you are in a condo with an underground garage, check whether your building allows outside contractors before we arrive — some in the Bramalea and Downtown core require a permit and a certificate of insurance, and we can send ours ahead if you ask.
